Budding iterations of City of Trees Brass Band have been hitting the streets of Sacramento, California since 2012. By 2014 they had started repeatedly making their way to San Francisco (a two hour commute each direction) in search of larger audiences. Having logged over 1200 grueling hours of street performance in California and beyond, The Brass Band makes an impact on every community it touches. Coming from humble street beginnings, to working class club shows, to high profile private events, the Trees have found balance in the chaos that is the life of young, working musicians. During the school year, they perform inspirational and educational clinics for k-12th graders, so that the tradition and spirit echo into the ears of the next generation. In 2016 the band took their first expedition to New Orleans to test their study against the source. Throughout that trip to the Crescent City, their dreams were realized as they saw tourists and locals alike steppin down the street to the sound of their Sacramento beat. Now the band splits time between Sacramento and New Orleans, so if you see them in your town, you better catch them before they leave.
